Wisconsin Country Club Project
Receives 2015 WLCA Silver Award
Stano takes great pride in the large-scale Landscaping project at "Wisconsin Country Club" which received a Silver Award in the 2015 Wisconsin Landscape Contractor's Association (WLCA) awards competition.
One of the features of this massive undertaking involved the creation of an expansive lawn area to accommodate large canopies for multi-purpose outdoor events. It now serves as the primary entry to the club's facilities as well as a spectacular setting for club socials, weddings, parties and benefit events.
The scope of the project involved extensive grading, a new main entry staircase, stone wall terraces, broad concrete walkways, dramatic landscaping, a 60’ x 100’ event lawn, landscape accent-lighting, an irrigation system and a new entry sign monument.
This unique aerial view of a wedding ceremony at the Club in fall, 2015, illustrates the full scope and intent of the project. It also shows why the event lawn has become the perfect wedding venue.
Entering from the east, members and guests are now treated to this magnificent view. The design’s classic symmetry is reflected in the flagpole, entrance walk, grand staircase and terraced walls.
The completed project provides appropriate scale, grandeur and impact as the club’s main entry. The multi-level terraces are a stunning stage for a diverse array of landscape plantings.
The landscaped terraces are filled with the perfect blend of trees, evergreens, flowering shrubs, perennials and annuals. A vast display of color and texture welcomes the club’s members and guests.
The lush lawn is perfectly pitched, allowing for canopies as large as 60’ x 100’. A functional outdoor venue to accommodate large gatherings was the primary goal of the client.
